Tip: when flying Cathay Pacific do not agree to the ‘congee with pork’ breakfast. Tastes even worse than it looks.

    I flew Cathay Pacific to new Zealand last year and the in-flight entertainment system was down and only came back up after we flew past Mauritius and only a limited amount of the channels worked.

    It looks like porridge with last nights stir fry chucked into it :P

    Is “congee” perhaps just airline-speak for “congealed”? Cos it looks like congealed something… perhaps “Bleached pork strips on a bed of congealed and pureed white rice, drizzled with a tepid-bath-water”?
    Man, that is truly horrible.
