I've always been a PC, Windows user. I've often been a little too quick to downplay the praise that comes from friends and colleagues for the Mac platform. Then I had a MacBook Pro handed to me at my new job. Everything has changed. Far from being just a "pretty" OS, I've found that the Mac works hard, very hard. Plays hard, and does all of these simultaneously and effortlessly. I think I smile these days. I whole heatedly agree with your assessment of Leopard OS. I've always been a PC, Windows user.
