In Malawi, where I&#039;ve lived for the past 10 years, satellite was the only way for data in/out until last year, when we hooked up with Seacom. Even now, bandwidth is extremely expensive (compared to the West) and the data caps are restrictive. I just continue see the rest of the world advance by leaps and bounds. I&#039;m left wondering where sub-Saharan Africa will be in the next 10 or even 5 years. In step or lightyears behind?</description>
