Talk is cheap

Saturday, February 6th, 2010

Oh boy, do I love talking. I could just spend all day talking about stuff. I like talking so much that I’ve decided to do it for free. At least for now. And all I ask for in return is feedback.

I have some great new ideas for talks in technology, productivity and business, and some tried and tested material that I’ve been refining. I’d love to hear what you think about them and the best way to do that is to offer you my professional speaking services for gratis.

So if you have an event coming up, or even if you don’t, check out my speaking page and contact me.

You could even get a group of friends together and book me to come and speak – or get some colleagues together in the boardroom – I don’t mind what the occasion is, I’ll do it if I’m available.

Anyone who places a booking before 20 February for an event taking place before the end of June will get my services for free, including up to 500km of travel, as required.

If you’d like to make a booking please visit my contact page and get in touch. If you’d like to learn more about me as a speaker, check out my biography or my speaking page.

A new design

Friday, March 7th, 2008

BirdyI’m almost done with a new theme for Scramble Kid. Don’t get me wrong, the old design was rad and made me happy. But it was time for a change and I wanted to create a Wordpress theme for this site that reflected my new, minimal approach to life, see. I won’t bore you with the broader details.

So I hope you like the new look. There are still some bugs I need to iron out and some areas of the site that need some attention, but I’m happy with it in general.

With this news comes a plea: please use Firefox. Or Camino. Or Safari. Hell, any browser besides Internet Explorer will do. I’ve spent hours trying to make my new theme more compatible with the CSS bugs in IE and I can’t be bothered to waste more time on it. IE is not secure, pretty or particularly useful. Switch to Firefox. It’ll make you big and strong.
